The Association of Irish Pakistani Physicians & Surgeons (AIPPS Ireland) and the Association of Pakistani Physicians of Northern Europe (APPNE) are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking an important step towards closer cooperation between two organisations representing Pakistani doctors and healthcare professionals across Ireland, the United Kingdom and wider Northern Europe.
The agreement reflects a shared commitment to strengthening professional connections, supporting doctors at different stages of their careers, promoting medical education, encouraging mentorship and creating opportunities for meaningful collaboration across borders.
For AIPPS Ireland, the MoU represents another important development in its continuing effort to connect Pakistani healthcare professionals in Ireland with established professional networks internationally. For APPNE, the partnership further strengthens its relationships with Pakistani medical professionals and organisations across Europe.
Bringing Two Strong Professional Networks Together
MOU was signed yesterday on 26th September 2026 in Hilton Hotel Heathrow, London, on the annual gala event of APPNE, while AIPPS Ireland delegation including Mr Nauman Nabi, President, Dr Ehtasham Yousaf, Vice President, Dr Usman Leel, Finance Secretary and Dr Dawer Rizwan, Executive council memeber went to attend the event.
APPNE describes its mission as supporting, advising and mentoring doctors of Pakistani heritage while recognising their professional achievements and promoting excellence in patient care. Its work extends beyond professional networking to medical education, mentorship, advocacy, charitable initiatives and collaboration with healthcare and educational institutions.
The organisation’s history demonstrates a longstanding emphasis on bringing Pakistani doctors together through a democratic and representative platform. APPNE has also established relationships with universities, medical organisations and professional associations in Pakistan and internationally, creating opportunities for educational exchange and professional cooperation.
AIPPS Ireland shares many of these objectives.
As a non-profit organisation representing and supporting doctors of Pakistani origin in Ireland, AIPPS has worked extensively in the areas of professional development, education, career guidance, advocacy, networking and community engagement.
AIPPS Ireland’s Executive Council includes consultants, GPs, specialist trainees, NCHDs and doctors from different medical specialties and healthcare settings across Ireland.
